Italy and Lake Como have both inspired many writers and poets throughout the centuries. We’d like to think our own piece of La Dolce Vita, Villa Fyn, provides inspiration to our guests as well.

We had a wonderful relaxing holiday at 'Villa Fyn' and enjoyed exploring this traditional area of the lake.  The Villa is a modern, luxuriously appointed house with a beautiful garden and outside entertaining area.  We spent most evenings on the terrace enjoying the beautiful views across the lake to the villages and mountains opposite or visiting the restaurants of Acquaseria, a short stroll away.  We highly recommend 'Villa Fyn' as a great place to unwind and use as a base to explore the area.

We had driven from England via Interlaken and knew the Italian Lakes well but all of our excited expectations were exceeded from the moment we saw the copper mansard roof of Villa Fyn.  Its situation on the very edge of the lake is simply stunning.  Inside the elegant modern decor is matched by the pretty garden and infinity pool.  The two kitchens (one to serve the pool) and bedroom and bathroom arrangements are at once luxurious and practical.  Menaggio is minutes away by car giving access to the ferries to Bellagio and Como - good restaurants in all three places.  We found the village of Acquaseria a short walk and the shops and trattoria typically Italian - lively, charming and fun.  It was nicely placed at the end of the road to Lugano and Maggiore even if we had to breathe in a bit to squeeze past a truck or bus.  We were six in total, and we all will be back!

Villa Fyn is beautifully and accurately portrayed on this web site and the attention to detail in this delightful villa is superb - just add food and water!  To this end and worthy of comment are the locals - the welcoming committee, the butcher, the greengrocer, the wine merchant and the local restauranteurs - all display that confident willingness to please and offer top quality produce.  All this completes the perfect holiday recipe - Villa Fyn.
